Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Burn City Classic 2026 basketball competition (“the Competition”) organised by [Burn City Classic Pty Ltd / Organiser’s Legal Entity] (“the Organiser”). By registering for and/or participating in the Competition, each participant agrees to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Entry is open to individuals aged sixteen (16) years and over as at the commencement date of the Competition.
1.2 Participants under the age of eighteen (18) years must provide written parental or guardian consent to participate.
1.3 The Organiser reserves the right to verify the age, identity, and eligibility of all participants and to refuse entry at its sole discretion.
2. Registration and Fees
2.1 All teams and players must complete registration in the manner and by the deadline specified by the Organiser.
2.2 Registration is not deemed complete until all required information has been provided and any applicable registration fee has been received in full.
2.3 Registration fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
2.4 Team rosters must be finalised prior to commencement of the Competition. Player substitutions after commencement will not be permitted without the prior written consent of the Organiser.
3. Rules of Play and Conduct
3.1 All matches will be conducted in accordance with the Competition rules issued by the Organiser, which may differ from FIBA rules.
3.2 Referee and official decisions are final and binding and are not subject to appeal.
3.3 Participants must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times. The use of abusive, discriminatory, offensive, violent, or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in immediate suspension or disqualification, at the Organiser’s sole discretion.
3.4 The possession or consumption of drugs, alcohol, or prohibited substances at the Competition venue is strictly prohibited.4. Risk, Liability and Insurance
4.1 Participation in the Competition is at the sole risk of the participant.
4.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser excludes all liability for any injury, loss, damage, cost, or expense (whether direct, indirect, consequential, or otherwise) suffered by a participant in connection with the Competition.
4.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any condition, warranty, or guarantee that is implied by law and cannot lawfully be excluded.
4.4 Participants are strongly encouraged to obtain their own personal health, accident, and injury insurance prior to participation.5. Media and Intellectual Property
5.1 By entering the Competition, participants grant the Organiser a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, broadcast, and communicate any photographs, video, audio, or other recordings of the participant taken during the Competition for promotional, advertising, and media purposes, without compensation.
5.2 All intellectual property rights in relation to the Competition, including but not limited to the Burn City Classic name, logos, and promotional material, remain the exclusive property of the Organiser.6. Prizes
6.1 Prizes (if any) will be awarded in accordance with the Competition rules.
6.2 Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for other items.
6.3 The Organiser reserves the right to substitute any prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if the original prize is unavailable.7. General
7.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend, vary, suspend, or cancel the Competition or these Terms at any time and without prior notice, subject to applicable law.
7.2 Failure by a participant to comply with these Terms may result in suspension or disqualification from the Competition.
7.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.Terms & Conditions – VIP Upgrade Prize Draw
Eligibility-
Entry is open to all individuals who pre-register by booking an entry ticket for any day of the event (Friday to Sunday) through Megatix.

Entrants must be aged 18 years or older.

Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the event organisers are not eligible to enter.
How to Enter

Each valid ticket registration equals one (1) entry into the draw.

Entry is limited to one per person per registered ticket.

The draw is open to anyone who has registered a ticket, even if the ticket has not been scanned at the event.

Tickets must be registered through the official Megatix platform prior to the draw.
Prize
-
The prize consists of two (2) VIP Upgrades for the Finals on Sunday, 18 January 2026.

One winner will be drawn, receiving two (2) VIP Upgrades.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or any other benefit.
Draw & Notification

The draw will take place on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at 5:00 PM at Sewell Reserve, Glenroy.

All registered ticket holders are eligible, whether or not they have scanned their ticket for entry.

Winners will be selected at random and contacted via phone and email using the details provided at registration.

If a winner cannot be reached or does not confirm acceptance within 48 hours, the organisers reserve the right to redraw and award the prize to another eligible entrant.
Conditions of Prize

Winners must hold a valid Megatix entry ticket for the event.

The VIP Upgrade must be redeemed in person on Sunday, 18 January 2026, by presenting the valid entry ticket.

The VIP Upgrade is valid only as an enhancement to the winner’s existing ticket and cannot be transferred to another person, day, or event.
General

By entering, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions.

The organisers reserve the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the process or breaches these Terms & Conditions.

The organisers’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The organisers are not responsible for any technical issues, delays, or failures related to the Megatix booking or notification process.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
